Dentist in Shirley, MA

 All our professionals at Dr. Arthur F. Eddy's office maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry. All our dental assistants are certified Dental Assistants (CDA) who have met the strict education and experience prerequisites established by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). Each CDA must pass exams in Radiation Health and Safety, Infection Control and General Chairside Assisting. Our entire staff is CPR certified. Dr. Eddy, our Registered Dental Hygienists and our Certified Dental Assistants are also certified annually in Infection Control courses.

Arthur F. Eddy, D.M.D.

Dr. Arthur F. Eddy was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Stonehill College In Easton, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and he received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After serving four years in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, Dr. Eddy returned to Massachusetts and opened his dental office in Shirley. Dr. Eddy opened his new state of the art dental facility in March 2005.

Dr. Eddy has been selected by his colleagues for prestigious membership as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, a Fellow in the Pierre Fouchard Academy of Dentistry and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and the American Dental Association (ADA). He is Chairman of the MDS Committee on Legislation and Chairman of the MDS Political Action Committee (PAC). He has also served on several national committees for the ADA. Over the past 20 years Doctor Eddy has worked tirelessly to improve patient rights and access to better oral health care on the state and national level.

Dr. Eddy is active in the community. Dr. Eddy has been involved with many groups including Shirley Town Soccer and Shirley Little League, the Ayer/Shirley Lions Club, the American Legion, Shirley Business Association, the Advisory Board of Country Day School in Groton, MA and St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Shirley. Dr. Eddy Is currently a member of the Board of Visitors at The Fenn School in Concord, MA and Worcester Academy In Worcester, MA.

In his free time Dr. Eddy enjoys biking, hiking, following local sports teams, especially the New England Patriots, and spending time with his family.

Janet
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Originally from Michigan, Janet grew up as an "Army brat" who traveled and lived around the world. As a child, she lived in Ayer, MA for a few years while her father was stationed at Fort Devens. Janet received her Associate of Applied Science degree from Baker College in Port Huron, Michigan. After graduating from dental hygiene school, Janet returned to the Northeast to make her home in New England. Janet also has past experience as a dental assistant and dental lab technician. She has been a Dental Hygienist with Dr. Eddy's office for 4 years. Janet enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
 

Tania
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Tania grew up in Lunenburg, MA and has been a Dental Hygienist with Dr. Eddy's office for 15 years. She received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Fitchburg State College. Tania says, "I love being a Dental Hygienist. I enjoy keeping up with all of the newest technology and educating patients about the science behind the proper care of their teeth." In her free time, Tania enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her two adopted dogs Apollo and Molly.
 

Celia
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

Celia has been a member of Dr. Eddy's staff for 3 years. She completed the dental assisting program at American International College in Framingham. MA and is a Certified Dental Assistant. With a cheerful smile, Celia proudly states that she has been a patient of Dr. Eddy's since 1994. Celia enjoys traveling, reading, fine tuning her culinary skills and spending time outdoors with her dog Darla.
 

Deborah
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

Deborah has been working as a Certified Dental Assistant for the past 7 years. She graduated from the Ohio Institute of Health Careers for Dental Assisting in Columbus, Ohio. Originally from Newton, MA, Deborah comes to work each day with a warm smile and a cheerful disposition. She says, "I truly enjoy working with our patients and helping them to maintain a healthy smile!" Deborah enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors and being with her family and friends.
 

Tiffany
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

Tiffany has been with Dr. Eddy's office for 2 years. She is a Certified Dental Assistant with 7 years of dental assisting experience. She also works as a member of our friendly front office business staff. When you call Dr. Eddy's office, you may very well hear Tiffany's friendly, cheerful greeting on the telephone. Tiffany grew up in Western Massachusetts. She attended Our Lady of the Elms College and Westfield State College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice prior to making her career change to dental assisting. Tiffany enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening and spending as much time as possible with her toes in the sand relaxing by the ocean.
